Associate – Banking & Finance

An esteemed global law firm is seeking an experienced finance lawyer to join their dynamic team as an Associate in their Banking and Finance practice in Jersey.

The key responsibilities will include advising on complex client matters related to banking and finance law. The successful candidate will also be required to collaborate across departments for knowledge sharing and engage in professional development opportunities. They will have the chance to participate in firm-wide initiatives and contribute to the development of new client relationships. Additionally, they will be expected to stay up-to-date with the latest legal developments in banking and finance law and apply this knowledge to their work.

The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 1-year post-qualification experience (PQE) in finance with an exceptional academic background. They will also have legal expertise in relevant laws for banking and finance. Exceptional written and verbal communication skills are essential, as is the ability to work cohesively within multifaceted teams. Proficient use of Microsoft Office suite is preferred. Jersey jurisdiction familiarity or offshore financial service provider exposure is advantageous but not mandatory. They should also have a strong track record of delivering high-quality work on time and under pressure.
